Now here is stylish paranormal drama. We have a
prime Medical Institution and a world renowned
Professor.
Like any other fresher, Abhimanyu (Rajwir Aroraa) gets
admission into a medical school with usual hope and
aspiration. Entering a medical college and he becomes a
victim of ragging.
The difference is that Abhimanyu’s senior, Chris (Imaad
Shah) has given him the task to research the life and
times of a student who committed suicide in the hostel.
For doing this the new student shifts to the haunted
room – room no: 404.
Our brave chap Abhimanyu
begins well and opts to live in the unoccupied,
supposedly haunted room, but soon things get spooky.

Is the Professors conviction
that “its all in the mind” enough to convince the once
rational Abhimanyu that what he sees is not real…or is
it???
Do you believe what you see …or… see what you believe?
The vulnerability of the human minds is exploited by the
ruling and marketing agencies and eventually our likes
and dislikes too are governed and controlled by them.
You are served what you are made to like, believed to
love, forced to accept…
404 is a suspense thriller set in a medical college,
exploring the human mind and the seen forces shackling
it. The conflict is in the defiance…

There is also a professor of
psychiatry, Aniruddh (Nishikant Kamath) who is impressed
with Abhimanyu's rationality and tenacity when he
decides to dispel all rumours and moves into a room that
has been forbidden for years.
What follows is an intriguing story about a Professor
who denies the paranormal and believes only in Science,
and a bright young student who battles with his conflict
of illusion and reality.
Abhimanyu doesn't believe in ghosts hence the bold step,
It is the seniors who are hell bent on trying to instill
fear in him. Slowly the situation changes, and then
starts the thrilling drama that Abhimanyu begins to see
or is his mind playing tricks?

Do you believe what you see? Or see what you believe?
The beauty of this film lies in the fact that it
explores paranormal activity without abandoning science
and rationality.
404 the film has a realistic concept and its
complemented with slick narration and excellent
performances which are so life-like.
Though, Rajvir has come up with superb acting, and we
have Imad Shah's mischievous look that has created a
sinister presence without any hysteria or hype. But it
is Nishikant Kamath's portrayal of the resident
psychologist which is the highlight of the film.
The director has ably exploited cinematography to create
a dark and spooky film, without resorting to gimmicks.
One of the rare horror films that is fast paced and has
a taut script. Prawaal Raman has to be credited with
being original and telling universal story with a
distinct element of thrill and suspense.
