Here we
have another rib tickling comedy film by Priyadarshan
who has given huge hit comedies like Hera Pheri, Hulchal,
Bhagam Bhag, Bhul Bhulaiya among the best ones directed
by him. De Dana Dan is a fun film with 25 actors in a
major situational comedy where there is confusion
galore.
Two broke best friends + their rich girlfriends
desperate to marry them + the girls' respective fathers
desperate to marry them off elsewhere + a bankrupt
businessman who's getting his useless son engaged to
every heiress in town to pay off his debts + assorted
characters like a Chinese don, a hired assassin, a rich
selfish lady, an ACB officer, a club dancer, an
ambassador, a young frustrated wife, a letch, a drunken
waiter, a dead body nobody wants and above all...
Moolchandji - the most pampered dog in the world.
These characters enjoy their antics in De Dana Dan...

Archana Puran Singh is a rich wicked lady. Nitin
works for her... he has to continue working for her till
his debts are repaid. The lady boss treats Nitin like a
dog and keeps him on a tight leash. It at all she has
feelings; they are reserved for her pet dog Moolchandji.
Asrani is the Chinese don. He can kill to order and also
deliver dead bodies to order. The trouble starts when
somebody orders a dead body but nobody claims it. Johny
Lever is a hired assassin. He is the don's no.1 supari
killer who specializes in 'death by accident'. But he too
lands in trouble when he gets a wrong photo and tries to
kill the wrong man...

Akshay Kumar is Nitin. This hard core action hero
displays his funny bone along with Ram (Suniel Shetty).
Anjali (Katrina Kaif) is Nitin's girlfriend while
Manpreet (Sameera Raddy) is Ram's.
Harbans Chadda (Paresh Raval) is on the run from the ACB.
This once rich businessman is heavily into debts, that he
is actually auctioning off his idiotic son Noli (Chunky
Pandey) to the highest dowry giver. Noli is supposedly a
computer engineer who finds himself getting engaged to all
the rich heiresses in town to pay off his father's debts.
Kakkad (Tinu Anand) is Anjali's father who was once almost
a pauper. Having won a lottery ticket, he is now rich and
wants Anjali to marry a rich man - and Nitin certainly
does not fit into that category.
Inspector Wilson Pereira (Sharad Saxena) is the ACB
officer in Singapore who has been hunting Chadda for long.
But never having met him in person, he gets fooled by
Chadda over and over again.
Neha Dhupia is a club dancer. Her quick hands match her
quick mind as she picks pockets with great style. There is
also an Indian Ambassador to Singapore (Vikram Gokhale)
who leads a blameless life, till he finds himself cast as
an unlikely letch doing unmentionable stuff behind his
wife's back!
Lamba (Manoj Joshi) is one of
the richest men in Singapore. Thinking that he's found a
fitting match in Noli for his daughter Manpreet, little
does he know what a wild ride he's in for. Rajpal Yadav is
a waiter who is always drunk. Giving out wrong keys and
breaking glasses, he's undoubtedly the most useless
waiter.

Aditi Gowatrikar is Chadda's
second wife. She is young and pretty and wants to steal
from her husband to run away with her young boyfriend.
Shakti Kapoor is letch no.1. Married five times already,
whenever he sees a beautiful girl, he either marries her
or buys her love. Now a club dancer - Neha Dhupia has
caught his fancy...
Throw in a kidnapping, mistaken identities and mistaken
room numbers; an assassin on the prowl, a wedding...
there’s mayhem all around. The songs Paise Remix and
Rishte Naate rendered by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and
Suzanne Demello are worth a mention.
Multiple stars, multiple madness, even though there are
moments of silliness, it is an actually funny movie in
most parts. Even if you sneeze, you miss a link. It is
one of the funniest movies in recent times.
