There is one proverb which
tells that whatever is written in one's destiny, in some
way or the other the incidents actually happen. But if
we fight against it, and make the incident happen in a
different way - then what will happen?
Ek Second... Jo Zindagi Badal De is a thriller, directed
by Partho Ghosh and happens to be ‘inspired’ by the
Hollywood film ‘Sliding Doors’ which starred Gwyneth
Paltrow. This story revolves around a girl named Raashi
- played by Manisha Koirala. She has played the parallel
roles - first time played by any Indian actress in Bollywood.

And the second story is about the same Raashi who
discards this two-timer boyfriend and hops on to the
train and she is moving upwards in life with another man
in her life - Jackie Shroff. It comes to light that even
this rich guy happens to have an affair with Rosa
Catalano.
Raashi is the typical contemporary lady who years in
life for a career, love, romance and even a family. The
rest of the film is about which path she chooses for her
life with guidance from a good friend Sam (Sunil
Sharma).
Manisha Koirala returns after a long time in Bollywood
and does look fit, trim and attractive, while our Jaggu
(Jackie) who is usually debonair and handsome is
somewhat disappointing in this film.
The drama and electrifying
moments seen in 100 days, are missing in this film.
Ek Second - Jo Zindagi Badal De has the script written
by Amit Khan. Produced by Rachana Singh and co-prduced
by Harbir Malik, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala share
the screen after a long time. The film is maiden venture
for actor Sunil Singh and also has fresh faces namely
Nikita Anand, Roza Catlano and Moammar Rana.

This film is about Rashi a lady who doesn't know what her
destiny has written for her. One day she is fired from her
job and prepares to leave the town on the next train.
An innovative approach here is that from one point, there
are two different versions of the same story running
parallel. It is that one moment in her life which is just
a second that Rashi has to take a call whether to board
the train or not to. It is from here that the film follows
Rashi's parallel lives. There is one life of Rashi who has
missed the train, and other one of the same lady Rashi who
has boarded the train.
First version is that of the working girl Raashi who
misses a train and ends up battling a playboy boyfriend
and all has her middle class obstacles.

More exciting part of two
different stories was the single end of both the stories
which is more stunning. Sometimes in life a decision made
in one second can turn the way of living of our life.
The film marks the debut of Suniel Singh, Nikita Anand
(Former Miss India), and the beautiful Rozza Catalano.
