Kaashh Mere Hote, movie review

Shravan of Nadeem-Shravan fame has produced Kaashh Mere Hote that has debutant Kumar Sahil with Sneha Ullal and Sanaa Mirza .

Kaash… Mere Hote! Miserably relies on the gone-by era tricks which made such masala films popular. Interestingly, in this film, the obsessed girl is blessed with super-natural powers. Kaashh Mere Hote, movie review …

We have a string of average songs popping up every now and then and like in the films of 70s, the film has a comedy track running parallel with the main plot.

Krishna and Radhika are passionately in love with each other. Their life is full of love, romance, compassion, and thoughts of being together forever. But, soon their joyful life becomes a living hell when a pretty teenage girl Kia, has her eyes focused on Krishna. Kia plays the obsessed lover.

The story goes as Krish (Kumar Saahil) who is a fashion photographer and is in love with Radhika (Sneha Ullal). Krish gets an assignment to shoot in Mauritius, where Piya (Sana Khan) first sees him and falls in love.

Co-incidentally, Krish manages to rent a bungalow belonging to a retired army officer (Rajesh Khanna) who happens to be Piya’s father. Piya is so obsessed with Krish that she would kill everyone and anyone who comes in her way.

The launch pad for the handsome Kumar Sahil is unimpressive and he needs to strive hard on acting front, while it’s the girl in the negative role Sana Khan who gets the meatiest part in the film, and she has an impressive role. Sneha Ullal who is now in her third film, looks pretty and little better in her performance as compared to her earlier films.

Also in this movie are Anupam Kher, Hemant Birje, Johny Lever, Mushtaq Khan, Shashi Kiran, Anil Dhawan, Avtar Gill, Javed Khan, Vikas, Suresh, Madhura Naik, Gavie Chahal, Satyavrat Mudgal, Krishna Bansal who feature in supporting roles.

Kaashh… Mere Hote! has an average screenplay and direction, while Sanjeev-Darshan’s music is a step better with a couple of good songs.

There is nothing else in Kaashh Mere Hote, the film with the ex-superstar Rajesh Khanna again been wasted in this film. It’s a surprise that he okays such B grade films, remember Wafaa – released just 2 weeks back? The parallel comedy track is managed well by Johny Lever.
