ISHQ explores the relationship between two individuals
as different from each other as chalk and cheese. No
matter how many times they are pushed together, there
are only fireworks.... no fire
Viraj Shergill (Akshay Kumar) is a swashbuckling
stuntman in Hollywood who lives by the mantra "women are
only good for two things.... making love & making love".
He is a successful stuntman who loves women, but thinks
that commitment and marriage are words that should not
exist in the dictionary. He gets paid the big bucks for
doing what the heroes can't do and lives a lavish life.
Women, parties, the adrenalin rush doing stunts... these
are the highs in life. Women exist only to have a good
time with. Play and play well... but why take the game
to its conclusion? ... After all there are numerous
playmates on this extensive playground.
At their
wedding - Sparks fly, accidents occur. And both are
thrown together in the most absurd, hilarious situations
until one dramatic twist of fate binds the two together
in a manner that they could have never ever even dreamed
of in their wildest fantasies.
Hollywood Superstars - Sylvestor Stallone and Denise
Richards appear in their brief roles. Sly is the man who
made antisocial, underdog heroes like Rocky and Rambo,
cult names... The Hollywood's biggest action star
features for a while and he even rescues the bollywood
damsels in distress.
Denise Richards, the former Bond girl and diva who sets
hearts racing, heats up the screen with her intimate
moments with Viraj (Akshay Kumar). Also featured is the
handsome Superman hero Brandon Routh ... this time not
flying, but feet firmly on the ground.

Simrita Rai (Kareena Kapoor) is a firebrand girl who is
more than able to stare down the most arrogant male with
her caustic wit and sardonic tongue... her firm belief
"there is no such thing as love". She is a part time
supermodel and an aspiring surgeon who does not see the
need to have a man in her life. Her belief is that all men
are no good losers. Life's experience has taught her that
men are just not worth the effort. She has a great career,
and soon she will become successful. Who needs men?
So what happens when the two individuals who hate each
other the most meet at Simrita's best friend Kamini's and
Viraj's brother Lucky's wedding? ... a wedding that both
Viraj and Simrita are violently opposed to and desperate
to stop.
Lucky (Aftab Shivdasani) is
genuine and loveable. He is madly in love with Kamini
(Amrita Arora) and wants to marry her. Kamini is ditzy,
innocent and beautiful. She too, is a top model, but longs
to get married to a man who loves her as she desires a
loving husband, cute kids and a white picket fence house.
Kambakkht Ishq has been shot in Hollywood, Los Angeles in
locations like Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Sunset
Boulevard and the fascinating Pacific Coast Highway and
Malibu. It also has the old world charm of Vicenza and
Venice.
The film is fun, and has loads of action. Enjoy this
masala Bollywood flick which has Hollywood toppings.
