(Seasons of Love) is a story of timeless love in the
face of political hostilities and religious conflict,
between a proud Punjabi Air Force Officer, Harry (Shahid
Kapoor) and an innocent Kashmiri refugee, Aayat (Sonam
Kapoor).
Four seasons. Four colours. Four phases of their lives.
Four true historical events.

spans continents, Mausam is a classic journey that
transports one into a world of indestructible bonds of
love enveloped by the roulette of destiny.

We

Harry's character there is the component of compassion,
loyalty and bravery, may it be as a lover or as a
fighter.
Through the turmoil of emotion arises this character of
Aayat (Sonam Kapoor) sketched as a girl perfect to fall

place with fears from her past but with innocence,
beauty and charm on her side and grown into a beautiful,
passionate and versatile woman, possessing the essence
of a kind, loving and robust heart. She stands the test
of time and pain eventually to be flourished with the

In its first
season, the film begins with mere adolescent attraction
between Harry and Aayat, in a small village of Punjab. In
the second season, it develops into young love, their love
realizes its own depth in the hours of separation through
season three. In the fourth and final season, their love
culminates into togetherness, but not before sacrificing a
lot personaly and learning the truth behind universal
love. It is a passionate love story, with various shades
of life as its background, questioning us and yet not
becoming indulgent.
Sq Leader Harrindar Singh, fondly known as Harry is our
protagonist. He has the makings of a perfect lover and the
shadows of every girls dream. He starts his journey as a
mischievous, youthful, clever boy at the peak of
adolescence who transforms into a man with bold qualities
of chivalry, kindheartedness and respect. As an officer of
the Indian Air force he is suave and charming with a flare
for humor and a depth of character.

'Mausam' is a story of timeless love in the face of
political hostilities and religious conflict, between a
Harry and an innocent Kashmiri refugee, Aayat. Excellent
performances from Sonam Kapoor and Aditi Sharma. Shahid
Kapoor puts in a performance of a lifetime.
Much to the viewers delight debutant director Pankaj
Kapur’s Mausam is wonderful in the first hour with fresh
moments, beautiful village settings and infuses life in
his characters with an old-fashioned bollywood classic
charm but as it progresses, it becomes a drag especially
in the later stage.
