Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye is really a simple story,
about the triumph of spirit over every odd. And the
power of the creative imagination - if you can dream it,
you can have it. But perhaps the hardest thing in the
world is to dream. Madhureeta Anand in her debut
directorial venture shows some style and good narrative
style where single frame of the film appears attractive.
MKMJA is the story of Maya. Maya (Raima Sen) lives in
New Delhi, is married to Vikram (Arbaaz Khan) and has a
daughter Priya. Maya’s life is mundane and centers
around her family. She always dreamed throughout these
years of becoming a singer that never materialized.
The handsome Randeep Hooda
stars in this film, while Raima Sen, Arbaaz Khan and
Juhi Pandey play their parts well. This movie is likely
to appeal to a limited audience which carries some
lessons in life to ‘go after your dreams and believe in
yourself’.
Director’s Note:
All around us, there are forces, messages and people
that tell us that dreaming is trouble, that to imagine
things is insanity and that the more impossible the
vision, the more unhappiness it will bring. So its best
to stay where we are, carefully guarding our 4 by 4
cells of security, filled with ideas that we "know" and
constantly reassuring ourselves by looking at other
inmates of reality, we never dare to look up and see
what is possible for fear of changing things. It's the
scariest experience to know that if you should step out
of this well drawn confine, you will be faced with "not
knowing". But, but, but… this leap of faith can be made
- because either you are really brave or are ignorant of
the consequences that will follow.
