Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh’s rapport and chemistry is the main draw of this Sajid Nadiadwala led film in its third installment of the franchise – ‘Housefull 3.
Other regulars in this franchisee are Boman Irani and Chunkey Pandey.
Housefull 3 showcases three couples – Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan and Nargis Fakri and Riteish Deshmukh and Lisa Haydon. These 3 girls Ganga (Jacqueline), Jamuna (Nargis) and Saraswati (Lisa) are daughters of the multimillionaire Batuk Patel (Boman Irani).
Mr Patel doesn’t want his 3 daughters to get married as he feels there is a curse running down in the family.
Within some time, the father gets Aakhri Pasta to come as the family guru-cum-astrologer and he declares to the girl that if ever the groom of the first girl were to step in Patel’s house then Batul Patel would die of an heart attack. The reasons for other two girls were that if ever the groom of other girl were to see Batuk Patel, and the third groom’s mention of Patel’s name would lead to Batuks demise.
Binding his daughters under these conditions Batuk feels he has warded off their marriages atleast for the moment, but he was wrong.
Ganga, Jamuna and Saraswati have fallen in love and have their boyfriends who then act physically challenged (Akshay Kumar), blind (Riteish) and mute (Abhishek).
Having convinced their father about not breaking the spell, the girls have almost convinced their dad to get married to these boys.
However Batuk Patel has sinister designs and then comes the entry of Don Urja Nagre (Jackie Shroff) which complicates the matters.
The tact of using one liners is bit more creative in this films with the girls translating english sayings and phrases literally in Hindi which does work at times.
Overall, this laugh riot ought to be again credited to Akshay Kumar’s performance. Lisa, Nargis and Jacquiline add pep and glamour to the story, while Riteish and Abhishek try their best to support Akshay.
Akshay Kumar has proven to be a delight on screen, never leaving a dull moment for his audience atleast when he is around.
