Cast:
Sohail Khan, Vrajesh Hirjee, Yash Tonk, Amrita Arora,
Arti Chhabria, Sayaji Shinde, Kulbhushan Kharbanda
Director: Ajay Chandok
Team – The
Force was earlier titled Jeet - Feel The Force. Director
Ajay Chandok disastrously attempts to make a raunchy
action-comedy film on the lines of Hollywood flicks of
1980s.
Team – The Force is about three friends Raj (Sohail),
Yash (Yash Tonk) and Jassi (Vrajesh Hirjee) are three
best pals who aim to strike big in the music industry
but are down on luck.. This trio stay as a paying guest
in a doting person’s Baabe’s (Kulbhushan Kharbanda)
bungalow. This old man considers them as his own sons,
so let goes collection of the rent, and even finances
them and prods them to launch their own video album.
Baabe sponsor’s their trip to Goa so that they may start
working on their video album.

All possible cinematic
liberties taken, all much used and abused clichés
incorporated, heroines used for mere skin show, songs
tumbling out of nowhere and pathetic hamming in the name
of acting is that what you spend your money to watch?
It has
outdated cliches, unwanted songs, and the heroines are
used for mere skin show. Rest of the story is outright
predictable in this directionless flick. Thankfully, we
have picturesque frames from Cinematographer Najeeb Khan
and neat editing by Nitin Akshay while Daboo Malik’s
musical score is average.
Sohail Khan and Yash Tonk go overboard and over act.
Sadly, even the talented (amongst these three) Vrajesh
Hirjee irritates (far from entertaining) with his fake
Punjabi accent. Aarti Chhabria and Amrita Arora are
present in this flick merely as glam dolls. However it
is Sayaji Shinde who manages to evoke real moments of
laughter
What upsets one here is that our film makers have not
woken up to recognize the intelligence and maturity
level of our audiences all over India in this satellite
generation. Director Ajay Chandok who has produced Nehle
Pe Dehla and even recently Ek Se Bure Do needs to
understand now that even the smaller center audiences
has grown up and have discarded stuff which worked in
the 1980s.

But their
joys are short lived as the local underworld don Raman
Shetty (Sayaji Shinde) starts making extortion calls to
Baabe since he wants to usurp his palatial villa.
The three strugglers take on a local don by kidnapping
his sister. It’s not quite as straight forward a demand
as Shetty expects it to be and everything goes
hilariously haywire. A comedy of errors ensues.
How the trio of Raj, Yash and
Jassi teams up and turns the tables on the underworld don
and what hilarious consequences it all leads to forms the
rest of the film.

Team - The
Force is not upto the the standards of the present
generation of quality flicks produced in Bollywood, as
it has only two points worth a mention - the glam
dolls who appear and disappear without any link to the
flow of the film and the other one, for the comic
moments performed by Saayaji Shinde
