From the misty pages of history comes a story of extreme
valour, fierce pride and poignant love. Set in a
backdrop of colonial India and the story penned by
Salman Khan himself, is about a Rajputana tribe known as
the Pindharis who are exceptional warriors.
As the British enslave India with their devious Divide
and Rule policy, kings and nawabs fall to their guile
and cunning and entrust their precious kingdoms to the
foreigners.

Cannons roar, swords clash in fierce battle, the dead
pile up... And when the dust settles down on the blood soaked land... one
valiant warrior stands head and shoulders above them all - Veer who courageously
battles the wicked king and the British and sows the seeds of the Indian
independence movement.
This magnum opus has other fine artists like Bharat Dabholkar who is the strong
Chaman with a childish mind and loves Prithvi and his family very much. Magan (Ashok
Samnarth) is the only person with whom Prithvi shares his life and thoughts. He
treats Veer and Punya like is own sons. Magan is more intelligent who
understands the British.

Except for the brave Pindaris,
who prefer death to dishonour and will fight to their last
breath to save their land... their mother.
There is also the king of Madhavgarh (Jackie Shroff), who
deceives the innocent Pindharis just to please the
British, but in the process lost his arm. Prithvi Singh (Mithun
Chakroborty) is the proud head of the Pindaris. He has
vowed to avenge the deception that cost his tribe - their
land and their reputation, forcing them to be on the run
forever.
The bravest, the toughest, the strongest of the Pindaris
is Veer (Salman Khan). As Veer takes on the might of the
British Empire, he also has to fight the conniving King of
Madavgarh as well his own jealous tribesmen. Veer has
Punya (Sohail Khan) with him who is loyal to the core. He
will follow his elder brother Veer to the ends of the
earth if need be. He loves to flirt, but he loves to fight
even more.
Thirsting for revenge Raja of
Madhavgarh has sworn to hunt the Pindaris down, little
realizing that his daughter is in love with the bravest of
them all.
Veer is head over heels in love with Princess Yashodhara (Zarine
Khan). She must now make a solemn vow to destroy
Madhavgarh's deadliest enemy - who happens to be none
other than her love - Veer!

Then there is also Nanku (Vinay Apte), a very emotional and brave Pindari. He is
the only person after Prithvi whose sons are also participating in the war.
Neena Gupta is Mangla - Prithvi Singh's wife and mother of
two brave Pindaris - Veer and Punya. Mangla herself is in
her early fifties, very beautiful, brave and staright
forward.
Lisa Lazarus - the well cultured and cheerful British girl
who has come to India to explore its beauty and to learn
about its culture and tradition, Puru Rajkumar as Kunwar
Gajendra Singh the stylish Prince of Madhavgarh, the
beautiful girl Gita Soto as Poonam (Lisa’s cousin) are
notable.
Salman has disappointed after his blockbuster Wanted as
very little of this story penned by him, makes any sense.
Having a running time of two and a half hours, the film
just goes on and on with endless battles and blood all
around. Veer has many over the top moments
