We
have, finally, a fine children’s film. Zokkomon is
Bollywood’s first superhero film that has a child actor
having super powers and crushes the villains. It takes
an American company Disney production who has initiated
this project that is directed by Satyajit Bhatkal.
Zokkomon is a heart-warming action adventure of an
ordinary boy who finds the strength to face
extraordinary challenges. It is full of special effects
and loaded with thrills.

Kunal gets the capabilities to perform all those amazing
stunts and supernatural tricks using scientific gadgets
designed by a 'Magic Uncle' who resides in the haunted
house. This is quite significant and an acceptable
reason rather than showing the kid amassing some
supernatural powers from the sky or something.
This is how Kunal as Zokkomon can fly in air and also
performing daredevil stunts.
Among the songs, "Eena Meena Myna Mo" and the emotional
"Tum Bin Yeh Dil Ghabraye" deserve a special mention
notwithstanding its title track "Zokkomon".

After his parents death, Kunal (Darsheel Safary) is sent
to his paternal uncle Deshraj (Anupam Kher). This uncle
has misappropriated a big amount and now is only
interested in cashing the investments left by Kunal’s
parents. But he finds that this he can do so only after
Kunal’s death. So the wicked uncle takes Kunal to a long
distant place and abandons him, returns home and informs
all around that the kid is dead, so that he can take
charge of the investments.
Kunal discovers how cruel life is, when he is abandoned by
his cruel uncle. Left to fend for his life on his own,
Kunal discovers the hero within and so begins his classic
journey of adventure and transformation to become Zokkomon.
Kunal finds two saviors- a Magic Uncle and a scientist who
transforms him into a superhero - Zokkomon and his Kittu
didi (Manjari Phadnis) who plays a loving guardian to the
lonely kid.

Darsheel Safary effortlessly portrays his role of a
super-kid and appears confident in performing those
stunts. Anupam Kher in a double role is the backbone of
this flick more so in the role of the Magic Uncle. Manjari
Fadnis as the kid’s - Kittu Didi is very charming and
vivacious. Tinnu Anand is apt in this type of a character.
Other kids have performed with ease.
Some fine production values are visible. But the child
turning into a super hero takes a long time which makes
the viewer restless for a while.
We have eye-catching cinematography is eye-catching and
some fine special effects. This adventurous film is funny
and entertaining in parts.
